Sharedspace   | 03

A considered approach to shaping spaces, communities and the way people experience connection within them.

Sharedspace is centered around helping businesses, founders and property owners create environments that feel thoughtful, functional and deeply connected to the people within them. Drawing from years of experience building coworking spaces and community-led environments, the work explores not only how a space looks, but how it operates, flows and makes people feel from the moment they arrive.

The focus is not simply on filling a space, but creating places people genuinely want to return to. through considered spatial direction, community experience, operational clarity and sustainable growth. Whether refining an existing environment or shaping something entirely new, the approach remains grounded in connection, atmosphere and long-term vision.

Bad Company Workspace had a community across three locations

What began as a single co-working space evolved into a thoughtfully curated shared workspace model grounded in connection, creativity and culture. Mount Maunganui became the flagship location, followed by Wānaka, before expanding into Hawke’s Bay through the incredible leadership of Belinda Williams, who brought the Hastings space to life with warmth, integrity and a deep understanding of community. Belinda now carries the brand forward, and I can’t wait to see what unfolds next for both her and the space.

Over eight years, the work extended far beyond physical interiors - exploring how people move through space, connect within environments, and experience the culture surrounding them. From strategic refits and spatial flow to brand storytelling, community building and multi-location growth, the focus was always on creating environments that felt aligned, welcoming and deeply supportive of the people within them.

Today, I offer guidance for those creating or evolving co-working spaces, studios, hospitality concepts and community-led environments - supporting everything from spatial direction and workplace culture to expansion conversations, customer experience and the overall feeling a space leaves behind. The work considers not only how a space looks, but how it functions, connects people and ultimately shapes the way they work, gather and grow.
